Well, we made it to my Mom's place last night. We stayed in some little town somewhere in Alabama the night before and I don't think they ever heard of Internet access. They did have horseshoes though, and they seemed real popular. So here we are in Rockwood, Tennessee. It's right outside of Knoxville, and we might as well be on another planet. It's beautiful here! Once again I can't get into my e-mail at Adelphia because dial-up is too slow and the session times out. I'm just lucky to get online up here in the mountains.
Hoops is outside washing his true love..........his bike. I guess we're goin' ridin' later. I think I have developed an accent even in my writin'. These parts will do it to ya. It's so nice up here on the lake, the water is so deep they say there's a catfish as big as a Volkswagen out there swimming around. I'd hate to snag that one on accident.
The trip from New Orleans wasn't bad. I really like New Orleans, I will definitely go back there again. Bourbon Street was a lot of fun, and NO I didn't flash anybody! We went to Pat O'Brian's first, then on to the Cat's Meow where I sang karaoke. It was the best place for karaoke, the entire bar was situated around the stage and they had it so people out on the sidewalk could stop and watch. I think that's the first time I sang in front of over 100 people that were all actually watching! I wasn't nervous doing that but get me up in front of 50 people and ask me to speak and forget it! Oh well.
I'm not sure I'll be able to get any pictures up from here so I'll have to wait until I get home. Which unfortunately will be soon.

We are headed off to New Orleans today. We watched the Lakers get beat last night.........that sucked! It's raining off and on here in Louisiana, but everything is extremely green, which is a nice change from the dessert. This country is so beautiful and there is so much land! We saw huge 5 bedroom houses with a few acres of land each, starting at $110,000! Unbelievable! Only thing is you have to live wayyyyy outside of Dallas in the middle of cow land.
Well, gotta finish cookin' breakfast so we can get on the road. (Yes, I cook, and well!)
